Step back in time as you are guided through the house by experienced and knowledgeable docents clad in Victorian attire. Built in 1869, the ten-room Gothic style Wildwood House brings to life the Victorian era in Nebraska. The house reflects the faded elegance of the lifestyle of Jasper & Ellen Ware and their family who lived here “amidst the wild wood” in western Nebraska City. Guests to Wildwood house are offered a unique glimpse into everyday life in a “well-to-do” home. Step back in time as you are guided through the house by experienced and knowledgeable docents clad in Victorian attire.

The Gift Shop sells works consigned by local and regional artists. Guests will find a wide array of handmade crafts and art including paintings, pottery, woodwork, textiles, handmade cards, jewelry, glass, and photography. Purchases made at Wildwood Historic Center’s Gift Shop directly support local artists and crafters.
