An exciting mixture of favorite traditional and new events are planned for fairgoers annually, the first weekend in August.
Friday’s schedule of events includes the 4-H and Open Class livestock show where swine, sheep and beef classes will be judged, including a Heifer Pen Jackpot. The action will continue on Friday afternoon with the 4-H and Open Class Horse Show and Round Robin Showmanship Contest. Friday evening’s entertainment will feature a performance by the always fun Parched Prairie Players.
A morning parade downtown in Terry will kick off Saturday’s events. Fairgoers can then head out to the fairgrounds after the parade to view the Open Class and 4-H exhibits on display. The Prairie Action League’s Bump & Run is on the schedule Saturday afternoon. Later Saturday afternoon, 4-H members will offer their market livestock for sale at the 4-H Livestock Sale. Saturday will wrap up with a concert in front of the grandstand.
Sunday will begin with a Community Church Service. The Terry Roping Club will host a rodeo-queen contest Sunday morning. Later that afternoon, fairgoers can enjoy the Homemaker Pie Auction and the Roping Club’s Ranch Rodeo, featuring some of the best local cowboys around.
