In their own words

Judy Bair, publisher and editor, writes:

“The Columbia River Gorge is a natural wonder that is united, not divided, by the mighty Columbia River and the Cascade Mountain Range. As the majestic river winds its way through the mountains it brings six counties in two states together with something truly unique and different to see around every corner. Hiking trails and wildflowers are abundant, not to mention incredible views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams and Mt. St. Helens. I began this journey of exploring the Columbia River Gorge 29 years ago and can’t imagine living anywhere else. The spectacular natural beauty enhances the endless list of recreational opportunities. This beautiful area is the perfect destination for those planning to visit family or friends, discover a waterfall, cycle a country road, sample a new wine or craft brew, play on the river or take a scenic drive. Along with the gorgeous scenery, you will also meet some of the friendliest people in the Pacific Northwest. Our magazine and new website  have been arranged to guide you as you travel from west to east and north to south, showcasing the many communities, attractions and hidden gems along the way. Visiting is easy, leaving is hard. I truly believe we have it all!”
