Looking for a place to unwind and connect with nature? Interested in learning more about plants, trees, and native species to Washington? If you’re in the Yakima region, you must stop by the Yakima Arboretum! Additionally, there are several fun activities that all ages can enjoy. There are several native plant identification workshops as well as holiday wreath making events. For the young ones, there is also a Nature Day camp which includes five days of outdoor summer fun and learning about the environment. The Arboretum is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk! Parking and visiting the park is completely free. Dogs are welcome too, provided they are on a leash.
