The Portsmouth Brewing Company was built at 224 2nd Street, in 1843, as a brewery. The building re-opened in 1997 at the Portsmouth Brewing Company and is the oldest micro-brewery in the Midwest! The micro-brewery has a bar, restaurant beer garden and banquet hall.
The Portsmouth Brewing Company is always a great place to stop for lunch or dinner to enjoy a full menu from appetizers, salads sandwiches prime rib, burgers and the local favorite, pizza. The “Brew Pub” specializes in handmade craft brewed beer such as their Portsmouth Pilsner, Peerless, Crystal Gold, Red Bird Ale, and Bernie G, River Star, Circleville Pumpkin Spiced Brew, Royal Elk Stout, Points & Boundaries.
Draft and bottled beer is available, as well as growlers in case you want to enjoy a drink while sitting along the Ohio River. Visitors can also enjoy a full selection from their bar, such as frozen margaritas or frozen sangria.
