Spinach Can Collectibles holds a treasure trove of Popeye memorabilia and is both a shop and a museum devoted to Chester’s favorite son, Popeye, and his comic character friends.
Divided into a section for shopping and a section for admiring, Spinach Can Collectibles is an impressive testament to a beloved work. There are murals all over the building, on the inside and the outside, that depict Segar’s beloved characters. The collection of items that visitors can see is truly impressive. There are rare items that go back to the early days of Popeye from the 1930’s, as well as cans from the spinach that was branded with Popeye. The things that are for sale might not be as rare as the museum pieces, but they’re still impressive, ranging from books to hats. If you’re a fan of classic animation, you must visit Spinach Can Collectibles.
