The Sioux City Railroad Museum tells more than 100 years of history, spread across a 32-acre complex. The museum sits on the former site of the Sioux City Engine Terminal and the Car Repair Shops of the Milwaukee Road. With both indoor and outdoor attractions, visitors can walk freely at their own paces, over concrete paths that connect to buildings and main points of interest. Guided tours are also available. Exhibits at the Railroad Museum not only describe the importance of trains in the Sioux City region but also how trains have impacted history throughout the world. See restored steam locomotives and learn more about the Milwaukee Road, all in the heart of Sioux City. Admission to the Museum is always free.
