Scappoose first became an incorporated city in 1921. To celebrate the hundredth anniversary, Alan Hulsopple created the Historical Walking Tour of Scappoose. This self-guided walking tour starts at the 1902 Watts House Pioneer Museum and ends at the Peterson and Deering Rose Gardens. The tour traces an approximately one-mile loop, taking you to 11 of Scappoose’s most interesting sites. Each site has its own informational YouTube video that you can use to turn your stroll into an audio and video tour. The tour also includes a map with historical photographs.
