With special exhibitions and public programs, the Pulitzer Arts Foundation has been showcasing art and architecture since 2001. Originally established to display the works in the Pulitzer family collection, the Pulitzer has also brought Old Masters, contemporary favorites, and more to St. Louis. This museum, named as one of the best places in the world to look at art, presents the art of today and preserves the art of the past, right in the heart of the city. Community programs held at the Pulitzer include panel discussions, poetry readings, meditations, and symposia. Additionally, in collaboration with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, the Pulitzer hosts chamber concerts that connect with the exhibited artworks.
