Since 2006 the North Dakota Firefighter’s Museum & Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial has preserved and showcased the traditions and heritage of firefighting within the State of North Dakota. In this museum, visitors can see photos, artifacts, memorabilia, and equipment related to the practice of firefighting. The Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial has added to the museum in 2012 thanks to the help of the North Dakota Firefighter’s Association. Located conveniently in the city of Garrison this is an engaging spot that is perfect for families traveling around the Garrison area. Folks young and old can see three vintage firetrucks or learn about the firefighters who have made the prestige Hall of Fame. The museum also provides education programs aimed to teach kids or remind adults about fire safety and awareness. The North Dakota Firefighter’s Museum & Fallen Firefighter’s Memorial is free to the public but those that wish to support the museum can donate directly or become a member.
