Once known as “Crockery City” and “The Pottery Capital of America,” East Liverpool at one time produced more than half of the United States’ ceramics. Today, the Museum of Ceramics tells that story and houses the largest public display of Lotus Ware—fine bone china made in the 1890s. Paintings and life-size dioramas tell the potters’ stories and a gift shop features jewelry made from local sourced pottery shards.
Open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am – 3:30 pm
