Market Square – Pittsburgh
Historic Market Square is the hub of Downtown activity. During lunchtime, office workers and students liven the scene. A variety of eateries are yours for the choosing, but those who brown bag it also find a welcoming atmosphere at the many tables and chairs available. Market Square boasts an eclectic mix of old and new, from the Oyster House, which opened in 1871, to restaurants and watering holes that have just opened their doors. The Square also hosts free events like concerts, rallies, farmers markets and seasonal celebrations.
