Lolo Creek Steakhouse
A Montana staple and right across from the infamous Traveller’s Rest section of the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, this steakhouse serves some of, if not the best steaks in Montana. The log cabin exterior was built with timber from the nearby Lolo National Forest, with the fireplace inside using Montana timber as well. The steakhouse is open daily, Mondays through Thursdays from 5-9pm, Fridays from 5-10pm, and weekends from 4:30-10pm, and the steakhouse does not take reservations. Although folks have been known to wait almost an hour for a table, locals, ranchers, those just passing through, and trail enthusiasts alike agree the experience is far worth it, with the restaurant making the list of top 50 steakhouses in the US, according to the Food Network.
