The Harrison County community of Logan was named after Union Army General John A. Logan. It is the only Iowa community to be located on three byways – the Loess Hills National Scenic Byway, the Western Skies Scenic Byway, and the Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway. With these three byways and the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail nearby, visitors may think that all roads lead to Logan!
For the traveler who bleeds red, white, and blue, Logan is the place to be on Independence Day! A multi-day celebration of our nation, Logan’s July 4th Celebration is a festive family atmosphere. With a parade, car show, “Pack the Park” gathering, games, food, shopping, music, a beer garden, and family activities, there are activities for the entire family! To end the festivities, a firework show tops it off. This celebration is the talk of Harrison County!
