Featuring over 45 miles of trails running through the North Dakota Badlands, Little Missouri State Park offers picturesque views and an exceptional site for exploration. Known for its seclusion and scenery, this park offers visitors an oasis in the badlands along the Little Missouri River, with rugged slopes, buttes, and steep canyons. Trails are open for both hiking and riding. As one of North Dakota’s designated horse parks, trails are accessible for horseback riding. The park also contains corrals and amenities for equestrian users. Campers can enjoy primitive and modern sites in addition to group shelters. This state park is seasonal, open from May to October.
