Ask any Pittsburgh local — they will know and love Kennywood!

Founded in 1898, this Pittsburgh area amusement park has been a central component of many a childhood. Kennywood and its attractions have developed in the same advance that technology has – it started off with carousels, and it is now home to numerous steel coasters! Though advancements have been made, some of its original characteristics and architecture are still preserved; it has been designated a National Historic Landmark since 1987, and there is fun for all members of the family, no matter what age!

Kennywood offers attractions for visitors of all ages, from those that include mild, classic rides to adventure-based roller coasters for the more daring. Kiddieland, a section dedicated to younger visitors, hosts 14 kid-friendly rides so that children can experience the fun as well! Dining options are numerous, and there is also plenty of room for picnics or spaces to host private events. A Kennywood necessity, however, is an order of cheese fries from Potato Patch.
