Joslyn Castle is a historic mansion constructed more than 100 years ago. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated as an Omaha landmark, Joslyn Castle and its gardens are a perfect place to learn more about history. George and Sarah Joslyn were the original owners of this 35-room Scottish Baronial mansion, and the current curators remain dedicated to preserving their legacy. Today, Joslyn Castle and Gardens provides opportunities for the community to learn through historical, educational, and cultural programming, which includes theater, art, history, nature, and more. The Castle includes a reception hall, music room, ballroom, library, and drawing room. In addition, visitors can take a tour of the house or enjoy the free public green space in the heart of Omaha’s gold coast. Gardens and the grounds are always open to the public, but the building is only open during scheduled tour times, which do not require reservations and are listed on the website.
