Relax in one of the park’s cottages, five of which were built by Civilian Conservation Corps workers. Explore the woodlands and ADA wetland trail where famed naturalist, John James Audubon studied birds from 1810-1819, then take in the museum that displays Audubon’s life through personal memorabilia and his art. Over 200 objects are on display, including artifacts from Audubon’s Kentucky years, a complete set of his masterwork, The Birds of America, and many original artworks. A nine-hole golf course, nature center and wildlife observatory round out the many features of this charming site.
