Izumi

Introducing authentic Japanese dishes and ingredients to St. Louis, Izumi honors tradition and challenges expectations with its innovative menu.  Izumi is a food truck with pop-ups that showcase Japanese culture through sandwiches, snacks, and drinks.  Owner Kurt Bellon has driven his small Japanese firetruck around St. Louis to introduce the city to konbini, also known as konbiniensu sutoru, Japan’s famous convenience stores that sell prepared and packaged food.  Try classic “sandos” like tamago and tonkatsu in addition to a variety of onigiri (traditional rice balls).  Then, test Japanese snacks including chocolate mushrooms and wasabi shrimp chips.  Preorder Izumi online in advance, or walk up to the truck at the location posted on their website.  Making friends and building a team, one meal at a time, join Izumi’s mission to make the world a better place.
