Owned and operated by the Harrison County Conservation Board and located in Missouri Valley, Iowa, the Harrison County Historical Village dates all the way back to the 1800s. Now a museum complex, it also doubles as the Iowa Welcome Center.
Visitors can look forward to a variety of activities, including a walking trail, a playground, geocaching and educational exhibits. The general store ells a variety of products such as souvenirs, clothing, and containers of a cherry drink that is made on site. Additionally, from May to October, the center runs the Welcome Center Farmers Market.
This museum complex is straight out of the 1800s, with an original log cabin, general store, and school. The official Iowa Welcome Center provides tourism information and assistance to travelers. The Iowa Products Store offers food, beverage, clothing, crafts, and a wide variety of souvenirs.
