The Frontier Gateway Museum is the official museum of Dawson County, Montana, offering a wide variety of historical items and interpretive displays chronicling the human and natural history of Eastern Montana. The museum interior and its grounds house an eclectic collection of local historical artifacts ranging from Native American to mid-20th century as Glendive and Dawson County grew from a rugged frontier outpost to a modern community. The museum also contains a paleontology exhibit. It is also the first official stop on the Montana Dinosaur Trail. Those traveling the Montana Dinosaur Trail can obtain their Dinosaur Trail Passports, passport stamps, and related memorabilia at the museum.
