There are over 1,000 wineries in Washington state, but Frichette Winery, which has been family-owned and operated since 2011, is one of only 3 Black-owned wineries in the entire state. After flipping a coin to decide whether to move to Washington or South Carolina, Greg and Shae Frichette took on the challenge of starting a new business in the Tri-Cities area, and Frichette Winery was born as a result. Focused primarily on red wines, the incredible team at the winery seeks to create a taste and atmosphere that is accessible to wine tasters of all experience levels, with a goal to prove that wine tasting is truly something anyone can enjoy.
Throughout the day the winery features a tasting room with a variety of wine flights to test, private vineyard tours in the beautiful red mountain valley, and a variety of other events throughout the year to enjoy. If you are in Benton City or the Tri-Cities area, it is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon before continuing on your journey throughout the region.
