“Passed down on the N side of the river to a fork from the North which is about the Same Size and affords about the Same quantity of water”
—William Clark, September 25, 1805

If Lewis and Clark were at their Clearwater Canoe Camp today, they could see Dworshak Dam towering above the North Fork Clearwater River. The Visitor Center offers three floors of exhibits and a theatre featuring  two popular movies: “The Last of the Log Drives” and “Dworshak Construction”.  Tours of the 1603 galley, north tower, and across the top of the dam are available summer months.

Behind the dam, the 54-mile-long Dworshak Reservoir has numerous boating, hiking, horseback riding, and ATV recreational opportunities.
