Calling all history buffs! The Daly Mansion and Trust once served as the expansive and beautiful grounds for Montana’s copper king Marcus Daly and his wife Margaret. The Dalys purchased the home in 1886 three years before Montana’s official founding as a state, had it completely remodeled in 1889, and the keys were turned over to a group of volunteers known as the Daly Mansion Preservation Trust a century later, in 1986. The mansion is a sight to behold, featuring over fifty rooms, seven fireplaces, twenty-five bedrooms, and fifteen bathrooms. Tours are given every day through the summer season from May to September, with tickets costing $15 for adults, $8 for youths, and children five and under can explore the mansion for free.
