The Casey Tibbs South Dakota Rodeo Center is a historical museum devoted to the legendary sport of South Dakota rodeo; the history and its stars. In our two-story museum you will find rare memorabilia of 9-Time World Champion Casey Tibbs, 1920’s trick rider Mattie Goff Newcombe, and many more rodeo greats! .

Climb up on our virtual bronc and get a feel for how long eight seconds can be! Try on a cowboy hat, jump on a saddle and take photos in front of our 42-foot hand painted mural. Watch videos and rides of South Dakota’s 19 World Champions. View our three large, bronze statues (with the fourth one to be placed in June 2018). Check out the spectacular view from the second story which overlooks the beautiful Missouri River. This is the best view from a museum/conference center in central South Dakota!

We welcome small and large groups. You can walk through on your own or personalized tours and historical presentations are available (call to make an appointment). Our 200-person conference center is also a great location for a luncheon, social or dinner! We utilize area caterers and can set up a bar for a social hour. Our large parking lot allows easy bus access.

Additional exhibit display feature highlights and artifacts of rodeo clowns, announcers, queens, entertainment acts, cowboys, and stock contractors. Organizations such as 4-H, Little Britches, High School and Collage Rodeo are also featured exhibits along with the Great Plains Indian Association and the South Dakota Rodeo Association.
