Blackfeet Outfitters is owned by the only Native American Indian licensed outfitter in the state of Montana. Blackfeet Outfitters, established in 2007, is owned and operated by Alger Swingley, a Blackfeet Tribal member of Montana. Alger’s exclusive and rich cultural background of hunting and fishing adventures of 40 years is very valuable for the guest experience and success rate in the pursuit of fish and game.

We are here to create great experiences for you, whether that’s chasing a once in a lifetime trophy hunt, teaching your kids to fish, or simply getting out and experiencing the vastness of this unspoiled state. In addition to our core fly-fishing and hunting services, we welcome the opportunity to create customized, tailored experiences for you and your family including backcountry adventures. We hunt and fish public and private lands boasting great relationships with our landowners and public agencies. Guide service is available for non-resident or residents. We value our guests’ experience by providing the best equipment and guides.

Big Game Species hunted include Mule Deer, Whitetail Deer, Elk, Moose, Black Bear, and Mountain Lion. Upland bird hunts include Pheasant, Hungarian Partridge, Sharptail Grouse, Ruffed Grouse, Huns, Turkeys as well as a variety of waterfowl. Upland hunts are great on their own or as the perfect compliment to an extended fishing or big game adventure.

Standard procedure in our backcountry camps will include comfortable heated wall tents with portable showers. We pride ourselves with quality healthy foods prepared by the best of camp cooks. We operate our own guide school with additional emergency medical certification that is well above the minimum standards required by the state of Montana. Blackfeet Outfitters is licensed with the Montana State Board of Outfitters and is fully insured to operate in the state of Montana.

Licenses and tags are available at Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks.
Airport pick up is available from Great Falls International Airport for a fee dependent on location of tour.
