The 1895 Washington Hotel allows visitors to stay in a historic setting with all of modern comforts travelers are looking for. Originally owned by the Washington family (related to George Washington) around the turn of the century, the house is an elegant display of late Victorian architecture and is full of family heirlooms. This beautiful house was almost bulldozed and turned into a parking lot until Mark and Valerie Frederick saved it and turned it into a hotel. What a tragedy it would have been to lose such a beautiful building!
Now, guests can enjoy the fancy historic feeling of the hotel with a comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are decorated in a style that compliments the Queen Anne design of the house, with elegant Victorian flourishes. There are rooms designed especially for families and you can even rent the six bedroom guest house if you’re coming with a lot of people. The hotel is also in a very central location in the Paducah Historic District, so you’ll be in a great spot to tour everything that Paducah has to offer.
