Pop! Goes the Expedition dives into the theme of Lewis & Clark in art & popular culture. More than 50 books and objects, as well as 17 original and reproduction works of art, will be on display from November 29th, 2024- March 25th, 2025. The exhibit includes reproductions of some of the most famous paintings of the Corps of Discovery by artists like Charles M. Russell, Frederic Remington, and NC Wyeth. Additional works by contemporary Montana artists like Robert Morgan and Courtney Blazon offer different viewpoints. Display cases contain a carefully curated selection of objects from pop culture including movie posters, novels, toys, and collectibles.
