Explore the true story of Pocahontas during a free presentation that will focus on the legendary life of one of America’s most popular Native American princesses and the timeline of events that led her to become one of America’s most memorable historical figures. The presentation will be given by Abby Farnsworth, a graduate student at Ashland University, who is pursuing a master’s degree in American History and Government with a research focus on Women’s History. Topics to be covered: the childhood and adolescence of Pocahontas, her encounters with John Smith and marriage to John Rolfe, and her legacy.
