Celebrating its 40th season October 10, 2020. Experience rural German life. Sing German songs, taste apple butter on fresh oven baked bread, brats and tour the German settlement of the early 1800’s. Demonstrations, music & crafts. 9am-4pm. The Saxon Lutheran Memorial preserves and promotes the history and culture of the German immigration to Perry County, MO, through historical exhibits.
Since 1981, the festival features arts, crafts, exhibits, skill demonstrations, apple butter cooking, soap making, outdoor baking, cider making, music, German foods and drinks.
