The Wetzel County Wall of Honor was a labor of love for American Legion Marne Post 28.  The wall lists the names of all known military personnel from all branches of the military that hailed from Wetzel County.  The black wall features the lists of names with translucent scenes from branches of the military in the background.  It has a railed deck with a handicapped ramp making it accessible to all.

The names are not in any particular order making the viewer peruse the names and causing a serene, meditative state of mind.  The Wall is next to Fireman’s Park and has a riverfront view.  The staggering amount of names just from this county makes you appreciate the sacrifice and courage of all those who chose to serve our country and keep her free.
