Actress Noel Neill, who portrayed newspaper reporter Lois Lane in 1950s movies and television, served as the model for this sculpture by Gary Ernest Smith. The real-life daughter of a newspaper editor, Noel was on hand for the June 10, 2010, dedication ceremony in Metropolis.
