Mount Ascension

This is a gorgeous trail to the summit of Mount Ascension. The path begins from the Beattie Street Trailhead, where parking is available. From the parking lot, the trail heads steadily uphill via a rocky track. The route is well-marked, but there are several intersecting paths, so keep an eye on the map. The views are the real highlight of this trail. As you ascend the mountain, you’ll be treated to exceptional vistas of the surrounding landscape. In spring, your surroundings will have a splash of extra color as wildflowers bloom beside the trail.
