Suspecting the Marias River would not take him any further north, Lewis passed through present Cut Bank, Montana and continued up the creek this small city is named for. Enjoy the same stunning views of the Cut Bank Creek Coulee and the Rocky Mountain Front as did Meriwether Lewis, Reubin Field, Joseph Field, and George Drouillard July 1806.*
The trail includes interpretive signage and two dog waste stations. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are prohibited.
Coulee Trail has two trailheads:
East: 7th Ave S & Dean Dr.
West: Mountain View Blvd & Lookout Rd.
