Missoula has long been a hub for breweries and distilleries, but the Western Cider Company is truly something special. Over ten years ago, a local Missoulian decided to plant 2,500 apple trees in the Bitterroot Valley just south of Missoula. Today, their orchard has doubled in size with fifty different types of apples, allowing them to produce dozens of traditional, easy-drinking ciders that are crafted to embody the “spirit of the West.” Luckily for Missoula, their orchard and previous experimentation came to fruition in a beautiful tasting room that opened back in 2017, bringing anyone passing through the city a riverfront property to enjoy a cider or two with friends, family, and loved ones.
