Taylor, a Quaker from Pennsylvania who was not only a trapper and hunter but also an accomplished writer and editor of the McLean County Mail. His journey from the Union Army to settling in Washburn in 1869 is a fascinating story of courage and creativity. Visit to learn about Taylor’s life, his love for nature, and his contributions to the community.
