This urban park is a tribute to the courage, bravery, and entrepreneurial spirit of the pioneers who first journeyed west. Within this park is the largest art installation of bronze and stainless steel in the United States. This sculpture, the park’s centerpiece, is a lifelike rendering of a wagon train. The sculpture is designed to be interactive, inviting visitors to walk among the figures and visualize the lives of the early pioneers. Because the statues are integrated into the urban landscape of Omaha, this park creates a tangible link between past and present, making it a unique site to learn more about the early days of the American frontier. The park is open at all times and is free to enter.
