This urban oasis in the heart of the city is Omaha’s premier Botanical Center. Offering fun and interactive programming for visitors of all ages, Lauritzen Gardens create a perfect escape into botany. With more than 20 themed gardens that represent the beauty of Nebraska’s landscapes and international destinations, there’s lots of space to explore. Don’t miss the Model Railroad Garden, which houses a miniature Omaha, highlighting the importance of railroads in the region. Programs for adults, hosted at the Gardens, cover a variety of topics, from floral design to edible plants. For families, engaging classes and camps are available year round. In summer, the Gardens feature summer camps and activities, like Garden Games which presents games like croquet and giant chess for outdoor fun. Additionally, gallery exhibits highlight the plant-inspired works of artists.
