The Walls off Washington

Surrounded by artistic and cultural institutions, the Walls off Washington is an engaging exhibition of street art.  This open-air art presentation is a mural experience that celebrates the diversity and creativity of St. Louis, with symbols of the city and depictions of its famous residents.  The Walls of Washington helps artists to share their passions and engage with their communities.  Moreover, the Walls help St. Louis residents immerse themselves in artistic expression outside the traditional museum space.  With the first mural painted in 2019, and rapid expansion during the pandemic, the Walls off Washington now contains twenty murals.  Enter the Walls through ​​Sophie’s Artist Lounge at 3333 Washington Ave and then tour the murals at your own pace.
