The Historic Daniel Boone Home
Built in 1800 by Nathaniel Boone, this house was the primary residence of celebrated pioneer Daniel Boone for more than a dozen years. Visitors to the Historic Daniel Boone Home can learn more about the Boone Family and Missouri’s territorial era history. Throughout the year, there are also living history and artisan demonstrations located at the site. The Boone Home sits on 300 acres, which include a “simulated town” containing many 19th century buildings. With a general store, a school, and other buildings that were all originally located within 50 miles of the park, the Boone Home’s village offers a unique look into frontier life in Missouri. The park is free to enter, as is a self-guided tour of the village, while there is a charge for a guided tour of the Boone Home.
