Interested in learning more about Chinese flora and the rich history of Chinese culture? Make sure to
stop by the Lan Su Chinese Garden in Portland, Oregon. In English, Lan Su can be translated to
Orchid Awakening or the Garden of Awakening Orchids. The garden features several cultural and
botanical programs for visitors to learn more about. For adults 19 and over, admission is $14, for
seniors and students admission is $13, and for youth admission is $11. Admission for children 5 and
under is free. There are koi ponds and beautiful blooming flowers for viewing. Throughout Chinese
New Year, there are also special celebrations with lion dance performances, calligraphy demonstrations,
and lantern viewings
