The Grotto, which is both a nature escape and the site of important Catholic history is one of the most wonderful places to visit in the Portland metro area. Open everyday from 9am-3pm, anyone is welcome to visit the Grotto’s beautiful grounds. The Grotto features beautiful shrubbery as well as monuments celebrating Catholicism from different cultures. Guided tours are also available for groups of 15 individuals or more! Pricing for adults is $9.95 with discounts for seniors and youth. During the Christmas season, there is additionally a Festival of Lights (in 2024, November 29 to December 30), with choirs and caroling throughout the time period. The Grotto is decked out with lights available for visitors to stroll through and enjoy the radiant sight. There are also several daily masses for visitors to enjoy typically everyday from 12-12:30 with additional masses on Sunday.
