Want to get away from the mighty Missouri River for a while and enjoy some scenic views? Then head to the River Bend Overlook which is situated in the northern unit of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park as this spot overlooks the Little Missouri River in the valley below. Reaching the overlook, after a short hike, will give you the impression that you have traveled back to the times when Lewis and Clark journeyed through this region as this view looks untouched by humans. If you are lucky during your hike, you can even encounter some bison grazing in a distance. And if you catch yourself eager to explore more parts of this National Park, check out other hiking trails in the area.
