Dignity Statue
This 50-feet-tall statue, depicting a Native American woman, was designed to honor the culture of the Lakota and Dakota people. It also represents the courage, perseverance, and wisdom of these two tribes that are deeply connected to the state of South Dakota. The statue is wearing a traditional star quilt, which stands for respect, honor, and admiration for Native American culture. The appearance of this quilt is influenced by either natural surroundings like sunlight and wind, or led-lights that are turned on during the night.
