This bronze sculpture depicts, Seaman, a Newfoundland dog, who became a famous member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Owned by Captain Meriwether Lewis, he was the only animal to complete the entire trip. The sculpture is located in Washougal at Reflection Plaza 1703 Main Street. It was created by Heather Soderberg-Greene in 2015 and purchased through funds raised in the community by the Washougal Arts and Culture Alliance.
It is visited often by passersby who enjoy posing for pictures with the dog. During holidays you can see it wearing appropriate seasonal costumes and adornments.
