The Lewis & Clark Experience is an immersive, educational adventure for visitors of all ages that puts them face-to-face with some of the many challenges encountered by the Corps of Discovery seeking passage to the northwest. This interactive exhibit is housed in the Frazier Kentucky History Museum, which is located across from the Falls of the Ohio, the very place that marks Lewis and Clark’s historic partnership and the formation of the Corps of Discovery.
Visitors will forge rivers and cross mountains while encountering new people, cultures and fantastic new species of animals. There are several artifacts from the period and detailed explanations on how and why they were used by the expedition. The Lewis and Clark Experience features a 55-foot cutaway replica of Lewis and Clark’s keelboat, replica Sioux Tipi and a Mandan earthen hut. Visitors can even try their hand at animal tracking and exploring “secret” passages! While this exhibition is fun for all ages, it was designed with children and families in mind!

Baby strollers are permitted at all times in all museum galleries. For your convenience, complimentary strollers are available for loan from the Admissions Desk on a first come, first served basis.
The Frazier Museum is located at the corner of Ninth and Main Streets on Museum Row in the historic West Main District of downtown Louisville. Our street address is 829 W. Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202.
We are conveniently accessed from I-64, I-65, and I-71. We are also easily accessible via TARC bus and the Main/Market Trolley. Visit the Transit Authority of River City for information on routes and schedules.
The Frazier Museum has several nearby parking options. The parking lot adjacent to the museum on Ninth Street is $8 for the whole day ($4 for members). There are also parking meters near the museum’s main entrance and a parking garage nearby on Eighth Street.
