If you are driving near Helena, Montana, this twenty-five-foot-tall tower is impossible to miss! It was first built as a fire tower in 1876. It is a true historical gem, as there are only five fire towers of this type remaining in the United States! While it is no longer functional, a hike to the tower is a great way to get a scenic view of Helena. You can hike a path up to the tower, and enjoy viewpoints of both Helena and the surrounding mountain ranges!
