Runcible Cider is a farm and cidery on the rocky prairie above beautiful Mosier, Oregon. Though still a small orchard with cider apple trees in their infancy, Runcible Cider has big plans to grow along with their trees and press/ferment their cider apples, as well as press heritage apples grown on neighboring orchards in the Columbia River Gorge.

Owners Rob & Kelly had been traveling to the Gorge for years from their home in Southern California, and in 2010 had the good luck to find a small cherry orchard in the National Scenic Area. They’d always talked about starting a small family business, and Runcible Cider seemed like a natural fit. They now have 1,000 traditional cider apple trees planted and more to be planted in the coming years.

Their goals include:

  • making great cider that makes people smile and want more
  • using local everything, from apples to graphic designers
  • meeting our cider drinkers and folding them into their cider community
  • dancing by the light of the moon.

During your exploration of the East Gorge Food Trail, be sure to visit Runcible Cider

…and don’t forget to bring a picnic.
