Main Street Point Pleasant is part of a national network committed to creating high-quality places, and to building stronger communities, through preservation-based economic development. The natural and historic resources of Point Pleasant promote the common interests of our merchants, striving to make our downtown a place loved by locals and visitors alike. Since 1989, Main Street Point Pleasant has directed over $9,000,000 in federal, state, local, and private investment into the downtown area, supported hundreds of local jobs, and helped forge a new path for the beloved Main Street. With nearly a dozen new businesses in the last year alone, an ambitious marketing co-operative, and $2,000,000 in projects planned for the next decade, this downtown corridor’s future is set to be one of the town’s greatest community investments in its history.
