Chilo Lock 34 Memorial Park gives visitors to the area the chance to learn more about the local history of transportation along the Ohio River. In addition, the park offers the opportunity for visitors to take a stroll enjoy the natural beauty of the waterway. The museum is located within original operations building for Lock and Dam 34, while the natural area features explorable wet lands, a steamboat-themed playground, and two yurts available for rent.

The Chilo Lock 34 Visitor Center and Museum occupies the former operations building at the former Ohio River Lock and Dam #34, which the Army Corps of Engineers decommissioned in 1964. The Clermont County Park District renovated the building and opened the Visitor Center and Museum in 2005. ā€œLiving and Working with the Ohio Riverā€ is the theme for many of the interactive exhibits and displays. The Visitor Center is home to several annual events ā€“ including the spring season kickoff, Rendezvous on the River, and Steamboat Days in August ā€“ and hosts occasional special events all year. Tour groups are always welcome; please call in advance to arrange a time.
